Another day of TV watching met me this morning... I clicked the buttons of the remote control and found this cool reality show "DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER". DOG and his team, that I once heard he called family are dressed like riders: mostly black leathers accented with bad ass metal bling-blings. This team includes 4 men, including Dog and his wife... they are well equipped with all they need in bounty hunting... I thought I was dreaming because I never thought that there are real bounty hunters which I thought only existed in movies if not during the cowboy era....
The episode is about chasing MONALISA., a slippery drug addict. After hours of chasing and while checking building which could be Monalisa's hiding place, they accidentally saw an escaped criminal named TAPI. TAPI is an old Mexican woman with short curly hair. She used to be their catch and surrendered her to the court, however Tapi was able to escape.. They managed to catch her again and thinking that she might know where Monalisa is, they directly asked Tapi about her and she said she know where they should go ...
They managed to reach the house of Monalisa with Tapi's help however they did not found what they want. They sat first in the living room and interrogated Tapi regarding what she knows about the target and she answers them with no hesitation. What I like about the show is that even though they look like bullies and killers, they talk to the criminals and addicts and inspire and encourage them to change. DOG, even said that he really likes Tapi as a person and he really wants her to change.
The next day, they continued the chase for Monalisa but she was able to slip again minutes before they get to the target place.. DOG became very frustrated and told her wife that the best or only way to get Monalisa is to trust Tapi and let her go, search for Monalisa alone like part of the team. They had a long talk regarding the idea because the wife didn't want to do it due to the fact that it might lead them to start all over again if TAPI will just run away. I'm so shocked that at the end of the the conversation the wife agreed to trust this addict and make her part of the team. She even hugged TAPI which might be very meaningful to the addict.
This is definitely a great risk for them, knowing that anyone will never think of this as an option. Usually, people will not trust a criminal with anything. I am so hooked that I cant really wait to see what will happen, Will they regret the decision they made or will I see an amazing ending today.
Another day of bounty hunting came, they are waiting for Tapi to call them for any info while feeling doubtful if she really will. After a long wait, she did not let them down and told them that she is already with Monalisa, which managed to do the big catch. its a BIG WOW for me that TAPI did not bring me down and did helped them even if she knew that after that she will still go to jail. She is an addict but she cant let down people who believed in her.They told Tapi that the will to talk to the judge for her not to go to jail anymore but they cant promise a positive result, however if she will help them catch Monalisa, what she will be doing is helping MONALISA to change, and she did, which only proves that even addicts and people with bad records can still care for people around them.
Monalisa looks like a bad person but after DOG'S wife talked to her saying that she is giving her 2 kids a bad example, she became very soft and fragile. It shows that even a monster can still be a great mother to her kids.
This cool show is now even cooler for me. The show about bounty hunters is now like a fairy tale of superheroes. They are not just transforming ordinary people, they are transforming and touching people tagged as criminals, law breakers and rebels to change and be better than who they used to be. No one will ever think that these hard big guys will choose to trust and care to people who for most of us are devils.
What a great lesson to learn this day... Now I know that even big cool guys can carry big guns and big caring heart, and that even devils can change and care.
I am a person who can get along with bad guys. My barkada's are typical "tambays" and some of them are really trouble makers. I even catch them taking drugs and marijuana but I still believed in them. Even if my family told me to keep away from them but I did not and will never do that. Now, one of my them is in the Air Force, one is now a great father, one is working hard to help his family and one is still a bad ass (hahahahahaha!! but I am sure he can still change that in the right time).. and I'm so proud of them!!!
I don't know what you might learn or if you will learn anything from this, but me, I learned a lot... I am hoping that you will too... If only every person can be like Dog's team who believe in a person no matter what he did in the past and no matter what he is now, no matter what his records shows and no matter what he looks like... WHO KNOWS,MAYBE EVEN A DEVIL WILL CHOOSE TO BE AN ANGEL IF YOU WILL JUST BELIEVE IN HIM...
